As Bumba sing back in 87 ‘dey want to know’ – people want to know who de ‘goose got out front.
Fuh sure I got AC to win and I got Classic up in de top 3 too. I can’t really put muh finger (or claw) pun who gine round out dat top 3 to be honest – it could be any one of Bag, Mr. Impact, Blood or John King.
So far de blog judges – yes dat is what I dubbin’ wunnuh fuh de night – got AC out front by a mile – near everybody call he as dey king. Classic in dey too fuh a lot of people and Blood too and of course nuff people got Bag somewhere in de top positions.
But we gine all see in a short while if de judging go long as fast as it went at de semis and de Party Monarch.
Update # 1
Bajan Angel ask a good question – wha de people on de ground saying? Well yuh know de ‘goose would got dat fuh yuh – cos keeping close to de ground is muh specialty! De buzz from de people hey at de Oval is definitely wid AC – he performance of Put That In Yuh Song was de performance of de night – wunnuh hear de whole place singin’ along wid he? Loud too yuh know!
Update #2
Diana just ask what de scene like right now – to tell de truth, ent much to tell. Dey had de kings of de band parading but dat was a good 20 minutes ago now dat dey done. De stage dark like dey just waiting fuh de Pic-o-de-Crop monarch to be announced and dey running some ads on de two big television screens dat pun either side of de stage.
Update #3
Alright peoples- de lights back up and MC Mac Fingall back pun de stage – so dat must mean dat somet’ing bout to happen! He just introduce a young lady name Kellyann Patrick who playing alto sax wid de Festival band – apparently she is de first woman to eva play in de Festival band – big ups to de young girl!
Update #4
Margaret Allman-Goddard just announce de king and queen of de bands – Trevor Chase, de bandleader of Ooutraje come first in de kings category and Katrina Gremell from Refugees wid de costume Madame Butterfly win in de queens category.
Mac now introducing de dignitaries that gine present to de winners. De PM David Thompson in de place – I guess he gine present to de monarch. We ready now!
i would like to be a fly on de wall in dat room wid de judges now. do dey discuss or just tally mongoose?

Congratulations to Adrian Clarke. He deserved the crown. A great performance from what I heard on the radio from New York. Diction was clear and he commanded and handled the song very well.
